Transformers #32 Story Summary
After receiving the Matrix of Leadership in Transformers #30, Elita Prime leads a team of Autobots back through the Space Bridge to continue fighting the war against the Decepticons on Cybertron. Elita, Bulkhead, Mirage, Jetfire, Blaster, Cliffjumper, Ultra Magnus, and Sideswipe arrive behind enemy lines and attempt to sneak their way back into Autobot territory.
Unfortunately for them, they run right into a somehow-rebuilt Shockwave and an entire squad of Decepticons who open fire and destroy the already wounded Bumblebee (hooray!) The Decepticons Thrust, Acidstorm, Sunstorm, Skyquake, Lockdown, Blackarachnia, Knockout, Breakdown, and Shockwave pour lasers and missiles into the scattered and disorganized Autobot ranks.
Ultra Magnus, who still holds a grudge against Shockwave for torturing him for thousands of years, transforms into a semi truck and crashes into him, while Sideswipe transforms into a sweet Lamborghini Countach and runs over enemy robots. The Decepticons get the advantage, though, and wreak havoc on the Autobot forces, killing and wounding many.
With defeat imminent, Elita Prime reaches for the Matrix of Leadership and tries to open it and light their darkest hour. To her surprise, it transforms into a giant energy sword called the Ghost of the Star Saber. She goes into a frenzy and slaughters the Decepticons with its massive blade. The Autobots seem surprised by her brutality.
After chopping many a Decepticon in half, Elita Prime calls for her Autobot soldiers to pick up their fallen comrades and run. She transforms and flies away, as Shockwave suggests that the remaining Decepticons regroup and pay a visit to Alpha Trion.
