Transformers #30 Story Summary

Elita-1 confronts Optimus Prime, who is still reeling from the previous issue's dramatic events. Furious that Optimus left Cybertron and betrayed his Autobots on their homeworld, she yells and screams and declares him unfit to lead. She demands that he return to Cybertron and finish the war that has raged there for one million years.

Optimus chooses to fight for the Autobots on Earth instead, because he feels responsible for leading the Decepticons to this beautiful world, a world that they will surely destroy. This is not the answer that Elita-1 wants to head, so she attacks Optimus and tries to beat him into the dirt.

After many beautifully illustrated and colored pages of fighting, smashing, and screaming, Optimus stops the fight and speaks to her rationally. He understands her anger, but refuses to let the Decepticons ruin Earth.

The Matrix of Leadership is called to decide who will lead the Autobots...
