Transformers #3 Story Summary

After the Decepticons attack a power station in Transformers #2, Sparky Witwicky suits up for combat against the giant robots who killed his friend. Laserbeak, who had been following Carly's custom van, attacks and tries to eviscerate Carly. Cliffjumper crashes through the wall and saves her from the Decepticon, but Sparky, who can't tell friend from foe, shoots him in the head with a shotgun.

More armed humans show up and attack Cliffjumper, whom they think is one of the giant robots that destroyed the power plant and killed Carly's dad, Davey. To make matters worse, in the middle of the battle, Skywarp shows up and also attacks Cliffjumper and the humans in the process. Before Skywarp squashes Carly in the middle of the action, Optimus Prime runs him over in truck form.

Skywarp uses his cool "warp" power to get the edge in their fight, but Prime, using a variety of wrestling moves, beats Skywarp to a pulp.

Meanwhile, the armed human militia, having no idea who is who, opens fire on Skywarp and Optimus, sending a ricocheting bullet into the nearby Spike.

Prime, wounded in battle, rips off his arm and crushes Skywarp. Then he transforms back into truck mode to take the badly injured Spike to the hospital.
