Transformers #27 (Image Comics, 2025)

Transformers #27 (December 2025) Jetfire and Bulkhead join the Autobots on Earth, and it seems the romance in the air when Spike asks Carly to dinner. The Decepticons raid a power plant to fill Energon cubes in true 1980s Decepticon fashion, while Thundercracker officially becomes an Autobot.

Transformers #27 Story Summary

While trying to salvage what's left of the Autobots on the damaged Ark, Brawn and Trailbreaker are joined by Jetfire and Bulkhead. Issue #27, juggling numerous plotlines quickly, then bounces back and forth between a blossoming romance between Spike and Carly, and General Flagg having a candid discussion with Ultra Magnus.

Meanwhile, like a throwback to the earliest episodes of the 1980s Transformers cartoon show, the Decepticons raid a hydropower station to fill Energon cubes. Sky Warp, who escaped from the Autobots in the previous issue, joins them with all of the murderous psychopathic compassion of Starstream.

Thundercracker, after being moved by the Autobots' attempt to save the unappreciative Sky Warp, officially switches sides and joins the Autobots. He even gets little red Autobot stickers for his wings!

Ultra Magnus makes Arcee the new Magnus. Blaster and Sideswipe make a brief appearance, Flagg kung-fus Miles Mayhem, and Shockwave reminds everyone that he's still alive and totally bad-ass.
