Story Summary
Shogun Warriors issue #5 starts in the middle of a great battle between Lord Maur-Kon's Mech-Monster and Combatra, piloted by Genji Odashu. Combatra is fighting not just as one robot, though, but five smaller vehicles: Delta-V One, Skyskater Two, Earthmover Three, Turbostreaker Four, and Groundrover Five (it reminds me of the vehicle form of Voltron.)
The smaller vehicles do little damage, and thankfully, the other two Shogun Warriors, Raydeen and Dangard Ace, arrive to deal some damage. Mech-Monster flees, and Genji follows it to its volcanic source, hoping to discover a way to defeat it once and for all.
She enters the volcanic hideaway as the Delta-V One rocket plane and suddenly finds herself under attack by Lord Maur-Kon's drones. The Delta-V One crashes, and Genji, who was not wearing her safety belt, flies through the windscreen and lands on the ground injured and unconscious before the nefarious Lord Maur-Kon and his minions.
The other two Shoguns arrive at the island, Mech-Monster continues to fight, and Combatra stands, headless and deactivated, with the captured Genji at its feet.
