Story Summary

In the Haunt of Evil beneath a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean, Lord Maur-Kon and the Followers of Darkness choose to fight the giant Shogun Warriors with science instead of sorcery. His loyal Techno-Mages created the Mech-Monster using computers, circuitry, and all kinds of other goodies from Radio Shack.

Meanwhile, Genji, Ilongo, and Carson continue their training. The team develops camaradarie as Ilongo Savage tells them about his rad career as a marine biolist, and that's he's also a superfan of Jaques Cousteau.

One in Maur-Kon's ranks is not impressed with the Mech-Monster, though. Lieutenant Magar wishes to use sorcery and the arcane rights to battle the Shogun Warriors, instead of machinery and computers. Magar steals the control mechanism and flies the Mech-Monster in the Pool of Dark Life, where the machine rises, reborn, with the life of sorcery! The terrible monster flies away, crazed with the powers of science and sorcery.

Genji Odashu, on a test flight in Combratra, encounters the terrible monster destroying a nearby city. She engages the Mech-Monster in combat, and attacks using a five-way module conversion that transformers Combatra from one giant robot, into five attack vehicles!
