Transformers #6 Story Summary
The fight rages from Transformers #5. While Optimus Prime, Arcee, and Ratchet battle Devastator and Starscream, Cliffjumper and Carly try to sneak into the Ark to reanimate more of their Autobot friends. Devastator stomps on the Autobots while also tossing Optimus around like a rag doll and damaging him badly.
Inside the Ark, on the operating table, Ratchet discovers that Prime's injuries are worse than expected. Prime, on death's door, removes his Matrix of Leadership, which falls to the floor. Sparky, still suffering from the loss of his men in combat and the death of a son, reaches into the Matrix and steps inside of it to sacrifice himself for Spike (who remains in a coma from Transformers #4). Prime takes back the Matrix.
A rejuvenated Optimus Prime promises to save Spike and the Earth. He rips off Devastator's finger and gets back into the fight, both guns blazing (literally.)
Cliffjumper, who had been fighting Starscream in the background, gets an assist from Carly and a giant laser gun. The goody-two-shoes Cliffjumper is unable to seal the deal and murder Starscream when he has the chance, though. Starscream captures Carly and prepares to squash her until Devastator, whose ass was just kicked by Optimus Prime, falls on him, knocking Carly loose.
Optimus and Soundwave exchange words while the Decepticons retreat.
Spike wakes from his coma and inquires about his dad.
