Absolute Batman #2 Story Summary
The Party Animals continue their murderous rampage, but Batman tries to keep one step ahead of them. Pennyworth observes as Batman continues to "advance forward" and brings the fight to them wherever they are, including at the aquarium, where he tries to drown them and burn them with acid. He blows them up, stabs them, and lights their hideouts on fire. Batman AF.
The police remain confused about whether Batman is a good guy or not. Readers, however, see Batman's inner circle of friends and begin to understand their long-term relationships. During a poker game, Bruce gives his friends one of the Party Animals' helmets, which contains complex electronics and computer data.
Later, Batman investigates Mayor Hill's office and discovers a secret computer file labeled Ark M. This triggers a message from the Party Animals, followed by an attack. After surviving a rocket-propelled grenade, Batman slides down the elevator shaft and runs into Pennyworth. The two of them exit the building using one of Batman's many "toys".
