Lobo #2 (DC Comics, 2026)
Lobo #2 (June 2026), published by DC Comics, titled "That's Fraggin' Showbiz". Lobo stars in his very own reality TV show, where he collects bounties, but more often than not, manages to kill everyone while not following the script. The company executives are outraged by low ratings, but fail to account for Lobo's resistance to criticism and his thirst for violence and gore.
Lobo #2 Story Summary
After being hired by Omni Mega+ Entertainment Corp. to star in his own reality TV show in Lobo #1, Lobo gets a makeover and a new haircut. After punching out the barber, Lobo dons his new outfit, complete with tights, sunglasses, and shoulder pads. He is not impressed (he rarely is, unless it involves death or booze or both of those things at once).
Cameras follow Lobo on his first bounty hunter mission for the series to nab a bail jumper named Brummer Jip. Lobo violates the law by blowing up Jip's hideout before introducing himself. Mr. Kzzt and the writers feed Lobo lines to say through a headset, which frustrates the psychotic Czarnian, who kills Brummer Jip before even collecting the reward.
The story continues as Lobo goes through job after job, as followed by the TV series, and kills, eviscerates, and incinerates all of his bails while ignoring the script.
Lobo is hauled into a board meeting where Mr. Frxxt explains that their other shows, Fisty Claws and Murder Mouth, are still outperforming Lobo's show. To increase the ratings, the board sends Lobo to collect a bounty on Emperor Aquaman. When Lobo shows up on his Spacehawg to kill Aquaman, Aquaman laughs at him, which sends Lobo into a frenzy of rage. The two fight and beat each other into bloody heaps.
After a violent, gory battle where eyeballs are gouged, torsos are impaled, and limbs are mangled, the battle is ended after the bounty is pulled. Omni Mega+ Entertainment Corp. plans to merge with G.R.P. and back a different show. As expected, this sends Lobo into another bloodthirsty rage, which ends with him throwing Mr. Kzzt out a window to his death.
Lobo quits and returns his outfit, then storms out naked after slaughtering all of the company executives.
