Lobo #1 Story Summary

Everyone's favorite murderous antihero bounty hunter returns in DC Comics' 2026 Lobo series, as the psychotic Czarnian returns to form in his monthly series filled with laughs and destruction.

Somewhere along the outer lip of Cosmic Route 67, Lobo rides his Spacehawg space-motorcycle to the Chug 'N' Slug Space Pub. A none-too-bright green alien tells Lobo that he can't park in front of the No Parking sign. Lobo rips his arm off and writes Lobo Parking with the blood, and then leaves the alien for dead as he enters the pub.

Lobo orders a drink and shows disgust as the bar's patrons watch a stupid reality TV show called Fisty Claus about an antihero. He makes fun of it and then starts a bar fight for no apparent reason. While he's busy killing the Chug 'N' Slug's patrons without mercy, they ask him, "What's your deal?", to which he responds with his life story about growing up "different" on Czarnia. New readers to the Lobo series get a glimpse of the madcap story thus far, as told through Lobo's various previous adventures in various comic book series.

Readers learn that Lobo is the last Czarnian after he killed everyone else on the planet by urinating in the water supply. Lobo fought Superman. He coveted Wonder Woman. He went to Heaven. He went to Hell. He became a woman. He returned to being a man, the baddest mother-fragger in the universe.

The story returns to the pub, where Lobo is about to collect a bounty, only to discover that it was canceled a moment before. He is summoned by the Omni Mega+ Entertainment Corp., the galaxy's biggest Entertainment Megacorporation.

Lobo shows up, kills a bunch of people, and then rides an elevator to a meeting with Mr. Kzzt, the CEO. Omni Mega+ Entertainment Corp. bought out all of the bail bonds and bounty hunter businesses in the galaxy and plans to make a reality TV show about Lobo. He goes berserk and demands money from the contract that was canceled. An army of security robots shows up, and Lobo kills all of them.

Mr. Kzzt is thrilled and announces that Lobo is the network's newest star in their upcoming flagship reality TV show!
