G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #328 Story Summary

The ladies of G.I. Joe continue their assault on the Revanche mountain stronghold in Sierra Gordo from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #327. Cover Girl, Jinx, Dawn, Sherlock, and Down-Range battle the humanoid robots with machine guns and swords, hacking and slashing their way to the Terror Drome hidden inside the complex.

After disemboweling the entire force of Revanche androids, one remains with a rocket launcher aimed at the wall of the Terror Drome, which is lined with C-4 explosive. The Joes escape just in time before the entire mountain explodes, but Dawn is caught in the blast, which triggers a memory locked inside her mind.

Dawn, who shares Snake-Eyes' memories, sees what Snake-Eyes saw in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #10, as Dr. Venom attempts to brainwash him beneath the Cobra arcade in Springfield. What Dawn learns in her momentary lapse of consciousness is that Dr. Venom implanted an easter egg deep inside Snake-Eyes' subconscious, which could trigger at any moment.

After regrouping, the Joes see that the entire mountain collapsed, leaving only the ancient pyramid standing. The Terror Drome on top has been destroyed.

The Joes call Duke with the news about the subconscious ticking time bomb, while on Cobra Island, Dr. Mindbender discovers an issue with the Brainwave Scanner that reveals evidence of the easter egg, though he does not know what it is.
