Transformers #14 (Image Comics, 2024)

The Cobra soldiers who discovered Starscream in Transformers #13 attach his torso to a H.I.S.S. tank. Starscream is outraged and tries to squash the humans, but they show him a drawing of what he looked like before, when he was drowning in lava. Then they drive him around using a joystick. Starsceram is not pleased, so the humans explain that they installed an explosive failsafe into him in case he tries to kill them (again)

Flashback to Cybertron when Megatron tries to convert a bunch of Autobots to his side. They refuse, and he commands Starscream to assassinate them all using his gun form. Starscream begrudgingly follows orders and then grows to like the mayhem and death that he pours onto the enemy in Megatron's name.

Back on Earth in the present day, Starscream discovers the chained-up Astrotrain and sets him free as Cybertron appears over the ocean, sending a tidal wave towards them. The humans and Starscream board Astrotrain, who flies them away to safety. In the air, they spot the Combaticons drowning in the water and rescue them as well.

Then, Starscream turns on the humans. After convincing one named "Razz" to remove the failsafe charges, he splatters her on the ground. Then he shoots one and crushes Horton with his tank treads.

Starscream, a patron of the arts, spares the human who drew him earlier and makes him sketch a scene of victory with Starscream surrounded by the Combaticons as they plot Soundwave's destruction.
