Shogun Warriors #2 Story Summary
While the Shogun Warriors were unable to defeat Rok-Korr with Raydeen in the previous issue, they still managed to divert the menacing beast away from the city. Dr. Tabura takes this time to train the human pilots to operate not one.... not two... but three giant robots!
In a subterranean testing area beneath the Shogun Sanctuary, the Dr. explains each of the robots' special attacks and super weapons. (Since Shogun Warriors was a comic book intended to sell toys to children, all of this stuff looks really cool.)
After blasting things with rocket fists and super arrows, each human pilot gets their own robot. Richard Carson pilots Raydeen. Genji Odashu pilots Combatra, and Ilongo Savage pilots Dangard Ace.
Rok-Korr continues its rampage, and the Shogun Warriors respond by hopping on their Jet Cycles to the Shimmer Tubes, which takes them to their robots (it's so very Voltron.)
Carson, piloting Raydeen, transforms the robot into The Firehawk supersonic jet and confronts Rok-Korr first with his Breaker Blade. He stops the monster from destroying a train, but then, as the other warriors arrive, Rok-Korr splits into three new monsters: Earth, Fire, and Water!
