Void Rivals #1 (Image Comics / Skybound, 2023)

In deep space, nobody can hear you scream... that you're stranded on a planet and the only person with you is your greatest enemy!

The Energon Universe starts with a mysterious pilot talking to a robot on his hand called "The Handroid." Earlier, in space, the pilot engaged an enemy "Zertonian" and crash-landed. His ship is destroyed, and while investigating the crash, a mysterious stranger (the Zertonian) attacks him! They fight, and before he crushes his mortal enemy with a rock, he pauses and contemplates his situation.

The Zertonian refers to him as an Agorran, and the two "Void Rivals" are introduced. Their species hates each other, and for what reasons, we have no idea. But they must work together if they wish to survive. Their names are Solila and Darak.

While trying to repair their vessels, they stumble upon a mysterious alien spaceship that, when given a little boost of energy, transforms and stands up! Wouldn't you know it... Jetfire has been stranded on this rock for a million years.

Annoyingly, Jetfire flies away to Cybertron, leaving the two humanoids stranded once again. They cobble together a plan to rebuild a spaceship, but in order to do that, they must remove their helmets and violate the Sacred Degree. The Zertonian and Agorrian must look at each other!
