Transformers #17 Story Summary
Thundercracker arrives at the Ark to rescue his friend Skywarp, who was merged with Teletraan-1. Skywarp informs Thundercracker that removing him would kill him.
Meanwhile, in the San Juan Islands, Spike and Carly ride on a surfboard with Arcee and Beachcomber, looking for Ultra Magnus. Beachcomber tells Arcee why he refuses to fight. After the story, they're nearly blown up by Ultra Magnus, who built himself a fortress out of scrap.
Back on Cybertron, Elita complains about Optimus Prime's abandonment of Cybertron. Bluestreak rallies the troops, Blades, Blurr, Elita, and Cliffjumper to take the container of the combined sparks from Cliffjumper's clan to the Decepticon-controlled Hall of Sparks for reinforcements. When they arrive, they blow a bunch of stuff up and attack the Decepticon guards. Then, Cliffjumper inserts the spark container into a giant machine that makes new Transformers!
On Earth, Bruticus and Devastator destroy Seattle in the Decepticon civil war. Optimus Prime and the Autobots, Jazz, Wheeljack, and Trailbreaker show up and try to save as many innocent civilians as possible.
On Cybertron, the Transformer-making-machine asks for a vehicle form before it can construct its new Autobot, and Blades drops Carly's custom van into it! The giant robot that emerges is SHREDHEAD. Finally, a custom van Transformer!
