Conan the Barbarian #50 Story Summary

In Conan the Barbarian #50 (May 1975), titled "The Dweller in the Pool!," Conan and his companions encounter the priestess Lupalina while journeying through the Border Kingdoms. Tasked with delivering a protective amulet to the puppet king Themas Herklar, Conan is magically teleported directly into the lightless dungeons of Castle Phalkar.

While exploring the subterranean depths, Conan discovers that the king is a broken man, held captive while a magical being of evil named Unos occupies the throne. The situation turns deadly when a swarm of subhuman creatures emerges from the shadows to attack.
