Greetings and welcome back to 80sComics.com for the review of Transformers Headmasters issue number one from July of 1987. Introducing an all powerful all new generation of Transformers that give great action and adventure. The planet Cybertron is a wound that will not heal and there's Scorpnorak shooting a bunch of Autobot prisoners and the Autobots retaliate no it's

Fortress Maximus leading the charge, slaughtering the Decepticons who then run away like cowards after being beaten up by the Autobots.

But Fortress Maximus wishes for peace which is boring. There's never peace in the Transformers. When will they learn So he has discovered this planet called Nebulus. He's been watching it for many vorns. Many vorns he's been watching this. No evidence of war taints its surface. So it's kind of like Transformers issue number one. They all load up into a spaceship and take a road trip to this planet.

But these are the newer Transformers. These are like the Transformers the movie Transformers. We've got Cup we've got Blur we've got Hot Rod. And there they are landing on planet Nebulas looking for Nebulonians or whatever. Look they find some engaging in some kind of primitive form primitive form of communication. Excuse me were you conducting a binomial data transfer Why yes yes we were.

And then accidentally the stupid transformer injures one of the humans which of course enrages the human population living on nebulous who's a bunch of scumbags. And there's some political shenanigans. Blurr shows up to I guess broker a peace deal or whatever which is like a really dumb move. Why would you send Blurr You should send in a bunch of shark tick kinds to eat them. I love this guy's shirt.

Sharkticons were great. They still are. So the humans or at least some of the humans want to kill these Transformers for political reasons. And the reason the Transformers didn't see any signs of war is because all the war machines were locked in a cave. And there they are. There's a whole bunch of them. And as you might expect the humans attacked the Transformers. And this is the first issue in a four part mini series. It's actually a lot of fun to read. Pretty funny issue. But at the very end

I'm going show you this because it's probably wondering like what's the whole deal with headmasters Well as a way to show that they are serious about peace the Transformers show up and rip off their heads.

Perhaps because this one is in really good shape I have to compliment the coloring. The color work on this one is really good. Also higher page quality than average for the era. Who did the colors on this one Nell Yomtov. He did a lot back in the day. So here we have a bunch of defenseless dumbass Transformers with no heads waiting for the Decepticons to probably show up in the next issue and kill all of them. Still love that guy's shirt.

It's not just the planet that makes it it's like the extra shoulder pad things. It's really good outfit. These Nebulonians know how to dress. There you have it Transformers Headmasters number one the cover's nice I like the cover. Scorpnorak's always fun. However, I think the Transformers probably should not have actually ripped off their own heads. I forget the gimmick there was a gimmick with the toys but I guess we'll find out in issue two three and four since it's a four part mini series. Transformers.

Headmasters see you next time on 80sComics.com. What an idiot he's ripping off his own head That's what they're saying.
