Conan the Barbarian #91 (Marvel Comics, 1978)

In Conan the Barbarian #91 (October 1978), titled "Savage Doings in Shem!," Conan, Bêlit, and Zula finally reunite with the crew of the Tigress on the shores of Shem. Their journey southward to reclaim Bêlit's lost heritage leads them to the gates of the fortified city of Asgalun, where they hope to gather intelligence on her usurper.

While the group waits in the treacherous marshes outside the city, their scout, M'Gora, returns with a swarm of man-eating swamp rats in pursuit. The situation deteriorates further when the team attempts to use a secret garden entrance to infiltrate the city, only to be ambushed by a battalion of elite Stygian soldiers.

However, before the battle even gets started, one of their own betrays the team after falling victim to foul sorcery!
