G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #325 Story Summary
Like G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #326, this issue is a stand-alone issue focusing on realistic combat and modern battlefield situations.
In the fictional country of Borovia, 22 kilometers from the Darklonian border, it is the 437th day of the Darklonian invasion to annex the industrial Chervonyy Dlna region of Borovia.
A G.I Joe "Observation and Assessment" team us envedded with a Borivian forward unit. Duke and Roadblock ride in an APC with members of the Borovian military, and two brand-new G.I. Joe team members: Down Range and R.C.
Down Range is a sniper, and R.C. is a drone specialist. Even though the Joes are there to observe and report, we know that plenty of action is inbound as a swarm of enemy drones heads for their armored personnel carrier. Duke and R.C. shoot them out of the sky, and then the team leaves the easily targeted APC and heads off on foot.
The Joes and Borovians head towards an old tractor factory, which serves as a drone launch site, and crawl through trenches in the snow. While observing the factory, enemy tanks descend on their position and snipers open fire, taking out one of the Borovians. The Joe team launches drones, and Duke baits a sniper so that Down Range can locate him.
R.C. launches a drone at one of the tanks and blows it up while Down Range eliminates the enemy sniper. Roadblock does what Roadblock does best, and sprays an enemy APC with machine gun fire.
One final enemy remains, but before he can throw a grenade at Roadblock and R.C., Down Range shoots him, handheld.
Everyone shares a hearty laugh and a smile as the grenade falls inside the bad guys' APC and blows it up.
