Transformers #16 Story Summary
On Cybertron, Cliffjumper leads Bluestreak and Elita-1 deep into Decepticon territory to find something that he left hidden years earlier. Beneath the rubble, he retrieves a Spark Canister filled with pieces of Sparks.
Back on Earth, the Decepticon civil war that exploded in Transformers #15 comes to a head as the Constructicons merge to form Devastator and battle the Combaticons, who form Bruticus. The Autobots leap out of the way as the two giant combiner robots engage in fisticuffs. Astrotrain crashes into Soundwave while Starcream fights Thundercracker. He tells Thundercracker that it was he and Soundwave who tore Skywarp to pieces.
Thundercracker steals the joystick controller that controls Starscream and drives him away from the battle. Thundercracker transforms and flies away while Optimus Prime continues to suffer from his waking nightmares.
On Cybertron, Cliffjumper plans to take his Spark Container to the fabled Well of Sparks and create a new Autobot.
Beachcomber and Arcee, along with Spike and Carly, look for Ultra Magnus while Laserbeak finds Megatron.
