About ComicBook.beer
Looking for a different kind of comic book website? Do you like the 1970s, custom vans, 8-track players, heavily armed sentient robots, and a tall stein of beer? If so, then you've found your new favorite comics website.
What is ComicBook.beer?
ComicBook.beer is a comic book collection and review website for fun-loving people who like to read and collect comics. ComicBook.beer features a massive comic book archive and cover gallery with a heavy emphasis on sword-and-sorcery comics, 1980s toy-franchise comic books, under-the-radar classics, and anything with giant robots armed with laser beams.
The ComicBook.beer review style is infused with cold and refreshing beers, but you don't need to like beer to enjoy our comic book coverage. Occasionally, you might see some suggested comic book and beer pairings, or even some beer reviews. You just never know...
Who Writes Reviews and Articles for ComicBook.beer?
ComicBook.beer is written and produced by Mark Bussler, a 25-year filmmaking veteran who directed and produced documentary films for DVD, Blu-Ray, PBS, and more. He is the creator and producer of the long-running Classic Game Room series (1999-2024) and is now the president of CGR Publishing.
Bussler has written and illustrated dozens of history books, art books, and numerous graphic novels. He spends most of his professional time on product design, commercials, and publishing work these days. Mark is an avid mountain biker, music enthusiast, and collector of banged-up old 1970s comic books. Also beer.
Is ComicBook.beer a Video Review Show?
ComicBook.beer is the spiritual successor to Classic Game Room and the 80s Comics series, but no video review shows are planned at this time. We'll likely be adding some videos to highlight the collectible comics on the website, but the classic "hosted" comedy show is not a thing that we plan to do.
Stay tuned for some possible brewery, biking, and comic book collecting videos this spring.
Does ComicBook.beer Have a Podcast?
Mark is looking into producing a comic book and pop-culture podcast for the website. It is in development, but not guaranteed to launch just yet.
